Iraqi Airways Reports Over 271,000 Passengers in September

Baghdad:Iraqi Airways announced it transported more than 271,000 passengers across 1,585 direct flights during September.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Transport highlighted significant operational activity by Iraqi Airways during September. The national carrier executed 1,585 direct flights, with a total of 271,589 passengers, showcasing increased air traffic between Iraq and various international destinations.

Mustafa Talib, the Director General of Iraqi Airways, attributed these results to ongoing efforts and oversight by Transport Minister Wahab Al-Hasani aimed at improving operational performance. He emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing efficiency and capacity in response to rising travel demand.

Furthermore, Talib stated that Iraqi Airways is advancing plans to upgrade its operational systems, expand its flight network, and improve fleet readiness. These initiatives are expected to contribute to better performance and more efficient, sustainable services for passengers.
