Cairo: Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Cairo and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Qahtaan Taha Khalaf, met with Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation on development projects.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting took place at the ministry’s headquarters in Egypt’s new administrative capital, where Minister Al-Mashat congratulated Ambassador Khalaf on his new role. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations in various sectors, particularly in exchanging expertise on development and urban development projects.
The two sides emphasized the importance of advancing ongoing initiatives and finalizing the agreements and memoranda of understanding in anticipation of the upcoming Iraqi-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee meeting. This significant event, scheduled for early next year, will be chaired by the prime ministers of both nations.
