Geneva: The Iraqi parliamentary delegation, led by Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives Shakhwan Abdullah, engaged in discussions with the Bahraini parliamentary delegation, headed by Deputy Speaker of the Bahraini Council of Representatives Jamal Fakhro, on the sidelines of an international parliamentary conference in Geneva.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was attended by Iraqi MPs Harem Kamal Khurshid and Yassin Mohammed Hamad. The discussions centered around several issues of mutual interest, with a primary focus on coordinating parliamentary efforts to support the Palestinian cause and increasing international efforts to lift the blockade on Gaza.

Both delegations stressed the significance of enhancing parliamentary cooperation and broadening economic and cultural ties between Iraq and Bahrain. These efforts aim to serve the mutual interests of the two nations and foster stronger bilateral relations.
