Iraqi and Lebanese Health Ministers Discuss Joint Cooperation in Baghdad

Baghdad: The Iraqi Health Minister, Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi, conducted a significant meeting with Lebanese Health Minister Dr. Rakan Nasser Al-Din and his delegation to explore avenues for joint health cooperation between Iraq and Lebanon. The discussions aimed at enhancing coordination on various issues of mutual interest.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting's agenda focused on expanding cooperation and exchanging expertise between health institutions in both countries. The talks covered several key areas, including pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, mass gathering medicine, and emergency preparedness and response. These discussions are part of a broader effort to improve health services and strengthen the health sector's readiness in Iraq and Lebanon.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Moussawi reiterated Iraq's commitment to supporting Lebanon's health system, particularly in the wake of recent challenges faced by the sector. He emphasized Iraq's willingness to provide support and foster collaboration to help Lebanese health institutions maintain their services effectively.
