Baghdad: The head of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate and Director General of the Cinema and Theater Department, Dr. Jabbar Jawdi, offered his condolences this evening on the passing of the renowned musician Farouk Hilal. He expressed his deepest sympathies to the family and relatives of the deceased, as well as to the artistic and cultural community in Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Jawdi emphasized that the passing of Farouk Hilal leaves behind a rich artistic and creative legacy that has enriched the musical movement. He prayed to God Almighty to grant the deceased His abundant mercy, to admit him to Paradise, and to grant his family, loved ones, and colleagues patience and solace.

The head of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate also announced that a memorial service will be held at the Iraqi Artists Syndicate headquarters on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. He invited the artistic community and all those who loved the deceased to participate in remembering his remarkable artistic and humanitarian career.
