Amman: The Babylon branch of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate is set to participate in the 5th International Travelers Theatre Festival in Amman, Jordan, next week. The group will present the play “Whisper in My Sound Ear,” adapted and directed by Dr. Mohammed Hussein Habib, based on a text by American writer William Hanley.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the play features performances by Ahmed Abbas and Mohammed Hussein Habib, with special vocals by Shatha Salem. Sound effects are provided by Ali Adnan Al-Tuwaijri, and lighting is managed by Ali Zuhair Al-Mutairi. The play initially premiered in Babylon Governorate in January and was later showcased in Baghdad at the Theatre Forum in February, marking the 57th anniversary of the Iraqi National Theatre Company.

The performance in Amman is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, 2016, at the Osama Al-Mashini Theater in Jabal Al-Luwaibdeh, commencing at 8:00 PM.
