Iraqi Delegation Secures Release of Citizens Detained in Saudi Arabia

Baghdad: Under the directive of the Prime Minister, a delegation headed by Ihsan Al-Awadi receives Iraqi citizens who were detained in Saudi Arabia for various reasons. The Prime Minister's Media Office announced that the Director of the Prime Minister's Office, Ihsan Al-Awadi, received the Iraqi citizens who were detained in Saudi Arabia for various reasons.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Prime Minister's Office stated that, under the direction of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and out of his keenness to follow up on the affairs of Iraqi citizens in various countries around the world, a delegation headed by the Director of the Prime Minister's Office, Ihsan Al-Awadi, was dispatched to the Saudi capital, Riyadh, yesterday evening, Tuesday. The official delegation received the Iraqi citizens who were detained in the Kingdom for various reasons. They will be returned on a private plane to the capital, Baghdad, on Wednesday.

The statement added that the official Iraqi delegation conveyed to the Saudi side the greetings of the Prime Minister and his appreciation for the position of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, who promised during the meeting with the Prime Minister at the Doha Summit held in mid-September to work to release the detainees, affirming the fraternal relations between the two countries.
