Amman: The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in collaboration with the Jordanian authorities, has successfully evacuated Iraqi citizens and their families who were stranded in the Gaza Strip. This operation aligns with the Embassy's duty to care for Iraqi citizens residing abroad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Embassy expressed gratitude towards the Jordanian authorities for their cooperation and facilitation, which were crucial in the success of this humanitarian mission. The Embassy highlighted the strong historical ties and brotherhood between Iraq and Jordan, emphasizing the close coordination during various circumstances.

Ambassador Omar Al-Barzanji, representing Iraq in Jordan, personally welcomed the evacuated citizens upon their arrival. He reaffirmed the Embassy's dedication to supporting the Iraqi community and ensuring they receive the necessary assistance.

The evacuated citizens were transported back to Iraq with the coordination of relevant Iraqi authorities. Diplomats from the Iraqi Embassy in Amman accompanied the citizens to the border crossing, ensuring the completion of necessary procedures for their safe return.
