Manama: A group of 38 Iraqi pilgrims stranded in the Kingdom of Bahrain departed from Bahrain International Airport for Kuwait yesterday evening, Sunday, after their journey was unable to continue due to the airspace closure.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement that the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Manama worked to obtain entry visas for them from the relevant Bahraini authorities, secure their hotel accommodation during their stay, and coordinate with the Embassy of Iraq in Kuwait to complete the procedures for granting them entry visas.

In a related context, an Iraqi Airways plane is scheduled to arrive at Bahrain International Airport today, Monday, to transport the remaining stranded Iraqi pilgrims.
