Baghdad: Iraqi Health Minister Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi affirmed the Ministry of Health's commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Lebanese Ministry of Health and expanding partnerships in health-related fields of mutual interest.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, speaking at a joint press conference with his Lebanese counterpart, Dr. Rakan Nasser Al-Din, following their meeting, Al-Moussawi stated, "The Ministry of Health is keen to deepen cooperation with the Lebanese Ministry of Health and broaden partnerships in health-related fields of mutual interest, particularly emergency medicine, mass gathering medicine, emergency preparedness and response, and the exchange of expertise and skills, as well as the development of joint training programs, all of which contribute to raising the level of health services in both countries."
For his part, the Lebanese Minister of Health praised the Iraqi government's efforts in supporting Lebanon, especially its support for the health sector, and commended its supportive stances across various sectors. He extended an official invitation to Al-Moussawi to visit Lebanon, emphasizing the Lebanese Ministry of Health's readiness to share its expertise and resources with their Iraqi brothers, thus enhancing ongoing cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two brotherly nations.
