Baghdad: The National Intelligence Service has announced the arrest of a group of terrorists linked to the notorious Abu Khadija, who was recently killed in a targeted operation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the National Intelligence Service, under the direction of the Prime Minister and supervision of the head of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, successfully executed an intelligence operation that resulted in the killing of Abdullah Maki Musleh al-Rifai, also known as Abu Khadija. Described as one of the world's most dangerous terrorists, Abu Khadija held multiple high-ranking positions within a terrorist organization, including Deputy Caliph and Head of the Delegated Committee.

The operation was executed in collaboration with the Joint Operations Command, the Counter-Terrorism Service, the International Coalition Forces, and the Kurdistan Region Security Council. Through diligent intelligence tracking, Abu Khadija's location was pinpointed in the Anbar desert, south of Rutba District, where he was targeted by a drone strike. Following the strike, the bodies of Abu Khadija and an associate were recovered, along with explosive belts, weapons, ammunition, and other evidence.

In a parallel operation, and in coordination with the Joint Operations Command and the Kurdistan Region Security Council, the Iraqi National Intelligence Service arrested a group of terrorists connected to Abu Khadija. These arrests represent a significant collaboration between federal and regional forces in Iraq, aimed at maintaining security and stability across the nation.
