Baghdad: The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, held separate meetings with the Japanese and British ambassadors to Iraq to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral relations.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari met with Japanese Ambassador Akira Endo to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and enhance the partnership between Iraq and Japan. The focus was on areas closely related to the Ministry of Interior’s work, aiming to fortify the ties between the two nations.
In a separate meeting, Minister Al-Shammari engaged with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq. Their discussions revolved around various topics of mutual interest, emphasizing the importance of collaboration to serve the interests of both countries. The Minister highlighted Iraq’s dedication to developing international relations and learning from global experiences to bolster its own capabilities.
Both ambassadors expressed their appreciation for the efforts made by the Ministry of Interior and commended the progress achieved in its operations.
