Baghdad: The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate held a coordination meeting at its headquarters in Baghdad, chaired by the Syndicate's Vice President and Head of the Federation of Arab Journalists, Muayyad al-Lami. Also in attendance were the Head of the Security Media Cell, Lieutenant General Saad Maan, the Syndicate's Secretary, Dr. Hassan al-Aboudi, and the heads of the Syndicate's branches in the provinces. The meeting focused on discussing media coverage mechanisms for the Arba'een pilgrimage to the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the attendees emphasized the importance of unifying media efforts and coordinating between the Syndicate's branches, the Security Media Cell, and police leadership in all provinces. This coordination aims to ensure the accurate and positive portrayal of the pilgrimage, highlighting the humanitarian values embodied by Iraqis in serving the pilgrims, and providing a suitable working environment for journalists during the pilgrimage.

The meeting stressed the necessity of adhering to professional standards in media coverage, countering rumors and misinformation, promoting awareness messages, and exercising caution in dealing with cybercrimes. These measures are crucial for the success of the media plan and for showcasing Iraq's civilized image to Arab and international media outlets.

The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate affirmed its continued coordination with security forces, media outlets, and its branches in the provinces to ensure professional media coverage that reflects the significant importance of the Arba'een pilgrimage as a humanitarian message embodying the values of tolerance, solidarity, and peace.
