Iraqi Journalists Syndicate Head Urges World to Support Hospitals in Gaza

BAGHDAD: Muayyad Al-Lami, the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, today called upon the global community to assist in delivering fuel to hospitals in Gaza and ensure their protection. This appeal comes amid a severe electricity shortage affecting medical facilities in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), Al-Lami expressed his concerns through a tweet highlighting the dire situation at Al-Shifa Complex in Gaza, which is struggling with a lack of electricity. He emphasized the critical state of children, women, elderly, wounded, and sick individuals, questioning the global response to this humanitarian crisis. Al-Lami’s plea underscores the urgent need for international action to support essential services in Gaza, particularly in healthcare.
