Baghdad: The Iraqi National News Agency reports that a significant $10 million grant agreement was signed today in central Baghdad. This agreement, endorsed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Iraq, in collaboration with the Ministry of Migration and Displacement and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is dedicated to aiding over 18,000 individuals in the governorates of Anbar, Salah al-Din, Nineveh, and Kirkuk.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, this four-year initiative is designed to provide support to internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and host communities. The program will focus on the rehabilitation of housing and community infrastructure, the provision of climate-resilient livelihoods, and the enhancement of local capacities in peacebuilding and conflict prevention.
