Iraqi Meteorological Organization Predicts Drop in Temperatures as Autumn Weather Arrives

Baghdad: The Iraqi Meteorological Organization has announced a significant shift in weather patterns, with a drop in temperatures expected as autumn weather begins tomorrow, Friday. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the organization issued a statement detailing the arrival of a moderate air mass from the west, coupled with moderate northwesterly winds. This change will lead to generally more moderate weather, with cooler temperatures during the night and early morning hours.

The statement elaborated that while daytime temperatures will remain relatively hot in most cities, the northern region will experience more moderate conditions due to the direct influence of the air mass. This marks a gradual transition from the intense heat of previous days to clearer signs of autumn weather, especially noticeable during the night and early morning.

Furthermore, the organization highlighted the impact of wind activity, particularly in the desert regions of the west and northwest. The winds are expected to stir
up dust and reduce horizontal visibility, with the extent of the impact varying based on wind speed and surface conditions.
