Baghdad: Weather forecasters predict a further rise in temperatures in the coming days. The Iraqi Meteorological Organization has indicated that Monday’s weather will be clear, with temperatures mirroring those of the previous day across the country.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the organization released a detailed statement outlining the maximum temperatures expected in all Iraqi governorates for Monday. The forecast indicated that temperatures would reach 39°C in Dohuk, 40°C in Sulaimaniyah, 41°C in Erbil and Anbar, and 42°C in Kirkuk and Karbala. Higher temperatures of 43°C were anticipated in Baghdad, Nineveh, and Diyala, while Wasit, Najaf, and Salah al-Din were expected to experience 44°C. Even warmer conditions were predicted for Babylon, Diwaniyah, Muthanna, and Dhi Qar, with temperatures climbing to 45°C. Basra was expected to reach 46°C, and Maysan was forecasted to hit the highest temperature at 48°C.

The statement also projected that Tuesday and Wednesday would continue to be clear, with a slight increase in temperatures across Iraq. The organization concluded by stating that Thursday’s weather is expected to remain clear, with temperatures holding steady compared to the previous day.
