Iraqi Minister of Trade Leads Delegation for First Iraqi-Turkish Economic Committee in Istanbul.

Istanbul: The Minister of Trade, Athir Dawood Al-Ghariri, led the Iraqi delegation in the inaugural session of the Iraqi-Turkish Trade and Economic Committee (JETCO) held in Istanbul from December 2nd to 3rd.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iraqi Ministry of Trade issued a statement highlighting the agenda of the meeting, which focused on strengthening trade and economic relations between Iraq and Turkey. The discussions encompassed potential collaborations in several sectors, including trade, transportation, industry, planning, and customs. These topics were part of the draft minutes to promote the mutual interests of both nations.

Furthermore, the statement revealed that during the meetings, the Director General of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations, Riyadh Al-Hashemi, along with his Turkish counterpart, initialed the minutes. This initial signing was part of the preparatory steps before the official signing by the Trade Ministers of Iraq and Turkey.
