Baghdad: The National Security Advisor, on the anniversary of the crime against the Yazidis, stated: "Our people, through their unity and sacrifices, were able to achieve victory and reclaim our usurped cities." According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a statement commemorating the genocide against the Yazidis, al-Aboudi said: "On these days, we remember the genocide committed by the ISIS terrorist gangs against our Yazidi brothers and sisters. As we recall with profound sorrow the details of this genocide, we pause at this painful juncture to affirm that our people, through their unity and sacrifices, were able to achieve victory and liberate our occupied cities, so that history may bear witness to a people who will not submit to extremist ideology or a rogue gang."
He explained that they are working diligently to uncover the fate of the abductees, facilitate the return of displaced Iraqis, and protect the diversity of their people through well-planned integration and rehabilitation programs.
