Baghdad: The Iraqi National Security Chanceler Council held a crucial meeting to discuss potential scenarios and measures to address recent threats in the region. National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji chaired the meeting on Saturday, focusing on the security and political situation in light of recent events.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Araji shared details of the meeting in a post on the X platform, stating, “We chaired a meeting of the Crisis Assessment Cell at the National Security Chancellery to discuss the security and political situation in light of recent events and threats in the region, as well as potential scenarios and necessary measures to address the resulting threats, the level of preparedness, and urgent policies and plans.”

The discussions were aimed at evaluating the current level of preparedness and formulating urgent policies and plans to counter any potential threats that may arise. The meeting underscored the importance of vigilance and strategic planning in maintaining national security in an increasingly volatile region.
