Baghdad: The Iraqi Naval Forces Command participated in the Maritime Security Belt maneuvers in the northern Indian Ocean. The Ministry of Defense stated in a statement: "In implementation of the directives of the authorities, and under the supervision of the Commander of the Naval Forces, Lieutenant General, Mazen Abdul Wahid Kabyan, a delegation of officers from the Iraqi Naval Forces Command participated in the Maritime Security Belt maneuvers as observers."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the maneuvers were conducted in the northern Indian Ocean, with the participation of warships from Russia, China, and Iran. The exercise aimed to enhance cooperation and joint coordination among the participating countries, enhance maritime security, and combat maritime terrorism in the region.

Representatives from the Republic of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, and South Africa attended the exercise.
