Iraqi Oil Exports to America Drop to Zero

Washington: Official data released by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Sunday revealed that the United States did not import any Iraqi crude oil last week, while Canada emerged as the largest supplier of crude to the US market.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the latest EIA data showed Canada as the leading exporter to the US, followed by Venezuela, with Mexico securing the third spot. The report also noted imports from Ecuador, Brazil, Colombia, and Libya.

The EIA specified that during the same week, the United States did not import oil from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, or Nigeria. Previously, the average daily import rate of Iraqi oil to the United States was 71,000 barrels as of the week ending June 19, before it completely halted, as indicated by the most recent weekly data from the US EIA.
