Washington: Iraq’s oil exports to the United States saw a significant rise last week, as reported by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA). The increase reflects a broader trend in US crude oil imports, which averaged 5.623 million barrels per day from eight major countries, marking a rise of 207,000 barrels per day from the previous week’s average of 5.416 million barrels per day.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the average daily exports of Iraqi oil to the US reached 314,000 barrels, representing an increase of 150,000 barrels from the previous week’s figure of 164,000 barrels per day. The data highlights Iraq’s growing role in satisfying the US demand for crude oil.

The EIA statistics revealed that the majority of US oil imports during the last week were sourced from countries such as Canada, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil. Additionally, US crude oil continued to be imported from Nigeria and Ecuador, whereas there were no reported imports from Venezuela or Libya during the s
