Baghdad: Iraqi oil was ranked fifth in the list of the most expensive Arab crude oil prices in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) for last January.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, OPEC data and statistics revealed that the average price of one barrel exported from Iraq reached $77.98. The data further highlighted that Saudi Arab Light crude secured the first position with the highest price, followed by Emirati Murban in second place. Kuwaiti crude took the third spot, Algerian Saharan Blend crude came in fourth, and Libyan Sidr was in sixth place.

The statistics indicated an increase in the average prices of Arab crude oils in January 2025, which rose to $79.56 per barrel, compared to $73.33 per barrel in December 2024.
