Iraqi Parliament Completes First Reading of Commercial Agency Regulation Law Amendment


Baghdad: The House of Representatives concluded the first reading of a new draft law amendment. In its session today, Sunday, the Iraqi Parliament completed the first reading of the draft amendment to the Commercial Agency Regulation Law No. (79) of 2017.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, this legislative move marks the beginning of the process to amend the existing law, with the purpose of updating its provisions to better fit the current commercial landscape in Iraq. The amendment aims to address various elements within the law to ensure it aligns with contemporary business practices and regulatory standards.



The completion of the first reading is a procedural step in the legislative process, which will be followed by further readings and discussions before any amendments can be enacted.
