The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Abu Dhabi, Dr. Mudhaffar Mustafa Al-Jubouri, met the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in UAE, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, they discussed educational cooperation between the two brotherly countries, especially the exchange of academic expertise and research, in addition to discussing the most important issues of common interests and ways to support and enhance them.
Mr. Al-Jubouri stressed the importance of enhancing cultural and academic cooperation and scientific research between Iraqi universities and their counterparts of the UAE universities, and discussed the mechanism for providing scholarships to Iraqi students in UAE universities, especially for the top students among them. He touched on the ways to reach a quick agreement to sign a memorandum of understanding for educational cooperation between the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Iraq and the UAE Ministry of Education.
For his part, Dr. Al Hammadi valued the role of the Republic of Iraq, its professors and scholars in building Emirati educational institutions, referring to the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries, and he welcomed the opening of new horizons for educational cooperation.
At the end of the visit, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education honored Mr. Al-Jubouri by giving him the shield of the Ministry as appreciation of his efforts to enhance cooperation.
