Basra: The General Company for Iraqi Ports announced today the successful docking of the first export tanker for petroleum products at the side loading site, under the supervision of its specialized staff.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company’s General Manager, Farhan Al-Fartousi, stated that the tanker, named V PROGRESS, has successfully docked at the side loading site in Iraqi territorial waters. This site is designated for the export of petroleum derivatives and crude oil. Al-Fartousi highlighted that this tanker is the first to dock at the side loading site under the direct management of the General Company for Iraqi Ports’ staff.
The side loading (STS) operation was completed successfully, as the tanker was loaded with crude oil as part of the export operations. The tanker departed safely, carrying the internationally accredited STS Clearance certificate stamped with the company’s logo.
Al-Fartousi emphasized that this achievement demonstrates the high efficiency and national expertise of the General Company for Iraqi Ports’ employees. He praised the dedication of both the technical and administrative teams in performing their duties, which enhances the company’s reputation.
