Baghdad:President Nizar Amedi emphasized the significance of promoting British investment in Iraq during a meeting with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq, at Al-Salam Palace.
According to the Iraqi News Agency, the discussions focused on strengthening Iraq’s relationship with the United Kingdom, particularly in the areas of economic development, investment, and trade. President Amedi highlighted the potential benefits of British expertise in supporting Iraq’s development and reconstruction efforts.
The President also underscored the need for consolidating security and stability, respecting state sovereignty, and employing diplomatic dialogue to address regional crises, which he believes are crucial for international peace and security.
The British Ambassador expressed the United Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to supporting Iraq and enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
