Iraqi Prodigy Mustafa Al-Hadidi Clinches Global Gold in Mental Arithmetic


Nineveh: Talented child Mustafa Al-Hadidi, from Mosul, won first place globally in the Mental Arithmetic Competition recently held in Turkey.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the competition was held with the participation of more than 20 countries from different continents. The competition, which took place in Istanbul, demonstrated the children’s ability to complete complex mathematical problems in seconds without using a calculator, emphasizing mental speed and accuracy.



Mustafa, 10 years old, outperformed hundreds of participants by solving more than 200 mathematical problems in a few minutes, earning him the title of “Genius Child of the Year 2025” by the competition’s organizing committee. This victory is a notable example of a unique talent that develops at an early age, supported by academic supervision from Iraqi and private educational institutions.
