Baghdad: The head of the Security Media Commission, Lieutenant General Saad Maan, announced that Iraqi security forces are fully capable of managing the country’s security operations following the planned withdrawal of international coalition forces on September 30th.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Maan highlighted the significant development and experience gained by Iraqi forces in recent years, particularly during the liberation battles. He confirmed that these forces are ready to assume complete control over security across all Iraqi cities, dismissing any plans to delay the withdrawal of coalition forces beyond the scheduled date.

Maan further explained that the withdrawal process will cover the entire Iraqi territory, including the Kurdistan Region, with joint coordination efforts between the federal government and regional authorities. He emphasized the importance of recognizing the efficiency and readiness of Iraqi forces, cautioning against any narratives that might undermine their capabilities.

He also addressed the potential for misleading campaigns and attempts to incite sectarian strife or spread rumors as the coalition’s withdrawal deadline nears. Maan underscored the need for heightened vigilance, caution, and increased media and security awareness to prevent any disruption to Iraq’s internal stability.
