Baghdad: The Iraqi Football Association announced the start of the first round of the Iraqi Stars League for the 2026/2027 season, this coming Friday, August 14th.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, ten matches will be played on the opening day, the most important of which is Al-Zawraa vs. Al-Minaa at Al-Zawraa Stadium. In addition, Al-Nawroz will host Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, and Al-Shorta will face Karbala at Al-Shorta Stadium.
