Iraqi Student Wins Top Honors at International Championship in Jordan


Amman: In a remarkable international achievement, student Roya Bassem Ammar from Babil Governorate was crowned ‘Champion’ at the Geniuses and Mental Arithmetic Championship (GMA) held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. She ranked among the top ten competitors worldwide, while also securing first place within the Iraqi national team.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Media Office of the Ministry of Education stated that the Minister of Education extended his congratulations to the training staff of Durrat Al-Janoub International School in Al-Hashimiyah District, as well as to the student’s family, affirming that this achievement represents a national success that highlights the excellence of Iraqi students and stands as a source of pride on the Arab level.
