Baghdad: The Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, in collaboration with the Iraqi-Turkish Business Council, organized a Businessmen’s Forum (B2B) in Baghdad, bringing together a large economic delegation from the Turkish-Iraqi Business Council (DEIK).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the delegation featured leading companies from sectors including construction, energy, logistics, healthcare, agriculture, food industries, and digital transformation. The forum seeks to enhance economic partnerships between the private sectors of Iraq and Turkey, facilitating direct bilateral meetings between businessmen from both countries. This initiative aims to convert cooperation opportunities into tangible joint investment projects.

Abdul Razzaq Al-Zuhairi, Head of the Federation, underscored the strategic importance of cooperation with Turkey, highlighting the Federation’s commitment to fostering an attractive investment climate for Turkish enterprises. This initiative supports Iraq’s broader reconstruction and development objectives.

Halit Acar, representing the Turkish-Iraqi Business Council, expressed the Turkish business community’s confidence in Iraq’s future. He emphasized their determination to contribute to Iraq’s reconstruction, noting that the bilateral meetings present vital opportunities to align Turkish expertise with the needs of the Iraqi market.

This forum is part of the Federation’s ongoing efforts to broaden economic cooperation with Turkey, aiming to open new channels for investment and partnership. Such initiatives are expected to play a crucial role in advancing economic development in Iraq.
