Basra: The Iraqi youth national team began its first training session this evening, Sunday, at its training camp held at the Basra Sports City stadiums, under the leadership of coach Ahmed Salah and his assistant coaching staff, in preparation for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Iraqi Football Association indicated that the camp will continue until the 24th of this month. Following the camp, the team is set to depart for Thailand to compete in Group F. Group F includes the Iraqi youth team alongside the host nation Thailand, the UAE, and Turkmenistan.
