Iraq’s National Unity Urged Amidst Political Differences

Baghdad: The Prime Minister's Security Advisor, Qasim al-Araji, has called for a unified effort in Iraq to prioritize the national interest above all else. He emphasized the importance of national cohesion, stating that Iraq is currently in dire need of consolidating efforts to fortify the nation's future.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Araji shared his insights on the platform /X/, where he highlighted that while differences of opinion are a legitimate right and can be enriching, they should not escalate into conflicts that jeopardize national unity or weaken state institutions. He stressed that responsible dialogue, national consensus, and true partnership are crucial in establishing security and stability. These elements, he noted, are essential for building a robust and stable Iraq that meets the aspirations of its people.

In his statement, al-Araji further elaborated on the necessity for Iraq to embrace a path of collaboration and mutual understanding. He urged for a concerted effort to foster an environment where differences serve as a foundation for enrichment rather than division. His remarks come at a time when Iraq faces numerous challenges that require a united front to ensure the country's progress and stability.
