Baghdad:Lieutenant General Mohammed Abdul Wahab Sukar Al-Saeedi, Commander of the Border Forces, emphasized the significance of Iraq’s sovereignty, highlighting its basis in territorial unity and independent decision-making.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Saeedi conveyed these sentiments while commemorating National Sovereignty Day. He extended congratulations to the Iraqi people, underscoring that sovereignty is more than a celebratory event; it is a commitment and responsibility, crucially defined by territorial integrity, independent decision-making, and the defense of national borders and dignity.

Al-Saeedi paid tribute to Iraq’s martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s land and sovereignty. He also acknowledged the dedication of the security forces tasked with safeguarding Iraq’s security and resources.

He affirmed the unwavering dedication of the Border Forces positioned along Iraq’s frontiers, pledging they would remain vigilant and resolute against any threats to the nation’s sovereignty or the security of its citizens.
