ISIS claims responsibility for mosque attack in Pakistan

Baghdad The terrorist organization ISIS claimed responsibility for the suicide attack that targeted the Kucha Risaldar Mosque in Pakistan on Friday, killing more than 50 people.

Media affiliated with the organization said that the operation was carried out by an ISIS member and published his photo.

A spokesman for the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, Muhammad Asim Khan, announced that the attack had killed 56 people and wounded 194 others, 50 of whom were in critical condition.

It is reported that Peshawar Police Chief Muhammad Ijaz Khan, explained the terrorist operation by saying that the violence started when two gunmen opened fire on the police outside the mosque in the old city of Peshawar
