KIRKUK: The Military Intelligence Directorate has announced the capture of a significant figure within the ISIS network in Kirkuk Governorate, identified as the “main carrier” responsible for logistical support.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrest was the result of a precision operation conducted by the intelligence of the Eighth Division. The detainee is a suspect wanted by the Iraqi judiciary under Article (4 / Terrorism) and was captured in Al-Hawija District. The individual reportedly played a crucial role in transporting supplies, including food, medical provisions, military equipment, and other materials, to ISIS detachments.

The operation underscores ongoing efforts by Iraqi forces to dismantle ISIS support networks in the region. The arrest is seen as a significant step in disrupting the logistical capabilities of the terrorist organization, which has relied on such networks to sustain its operations in Iraq.
