ISIS Member Detained in Badush Security Operation

Badush: Local police detachments in Nineveh arrested a member of the terrorist organization ISIS during a security and inspection operation carried out in the town of Badush, northwest of Mosul.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a Nineveh police source reported that the operation was conducted with precision from two axes within the town, following accurate intelligence information about the presence of wanted individuals in residential areas. The site was secured, and the search operation adhered to strict security measures to ensure citizen safety and prevent any escape attempts.

The police source stated that the detainee was hiding among civilians, and his identity was confirmed through the security services' wanted database, indicating he was an active member of ISIS during its control of the city.

The source further noted that the individual has been officially handed over to the Nineveh Governorate Police Command Headquarters to complete the necessary legal procedures and investigations.
