Islamic Resistance Fighters Clash with Israeli Soldiers Near Taybeh


BEIRUT: Islamic Resistance fighters in Lebanon engaged in combat with Israeli soldiers attempting to infiltrate the outskirts of the town of Taybeh, according to a statement released by the group. The confrontation, which took place on Monday evening, was part of the fighters’ stated mission to support Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and defend Lebanese territory.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the skirmish began at 8:22 p.m. when the Israeli forces attempted to breach the area near Taybeh. The Islamic Resistance fighters claimed to have inflicted direct hits on the Israeli soldiers. As the situation escalated, Israeli forces deployed armored vehicles to assist their engaged unit. However, they were met with resistance, forcing a retreat. The Islamic Resistance fighters then launched rocket attacks on the retreating forces, claiming additional direct hits.

The incident underscores the ongoing tensions in the region, with the Islamic Resistance citing solidarity with Palestinian efforts and the
defense of Lebanon as motivations for their actions. The statement from the group highlighted their commitment to these causes amid the broader regional conflict.
