Khan Yunis: Medical sources announced the martyrdom of Dr. Salah al-Bardawil, a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, as a result of an assassination carried out by Israeli aircraft after bombing a tent west of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, MP al-Bardawil and his wife were martyred in the early hours of dawn today, following Israeli shelling of tents housing displaced persons west of Khan Yunis. Medical crews transported the bodies of the martyrs to Nasser Hospital in the center of the city.

Last Tuesday morning, the Israeli entity resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip, following a two-month hiatus under a ceasefire agreement that went into effect on January 19. However, the occupation violated the terms of the ceasefire over the course of the two months, continuing its bombing of various areas of the Gaza Strip, causing casualties and injuries. It also refused to implement the humanitarian protocol and tightened its stifling siege on the Strip, which is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian tragedy.
