Jerusalem: Israeli news websites reported that Israel has officially informed the United Nations of severing ties with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Israeli Channel 12 and the Israeli news website “Walla” reported that “the Israeli Foreign Ministry informed the United Nations, through a letter, of the cancellation of its agreement with “UNRWA”, which organized its activities in Israel, Gaza and the occupied West Bank.”

The Israeli Knesset had previously approved a draft resolution banning UNRWA from operating in Israel.
