JERUSALEM: The Israeli army has announced a targeted airstrike on Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon, marking a significant escalation in regional tensions. The attack, conducted by an Israeli air force plane, was aimed at neutralizing a perceived threat from the militant group near the Israeli border.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Israeli army Spokesman Avichay Adraee confirmed the operation, stating that the airstrike targeted Hezbollah militants who were active in the region and posed a danger to Israeli citizens. Adraee emphasized that the actions of the Hezbollah fighters were in violation of the established understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
