Tel Aviv: The Israeli army announced today, Wednesday, that, in cooperation with the General Security Service (Shin Bet), it assassinated the movement’s prominent leader, Mahmoud Ibrahim Abu Hasira, who served as assistant to the commander of the Gaza Brigade, Izz al-Din al-Haddad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Israeli army stated in a statement that its air forces carried out a raid “a few days ago” in the central Gaza Strip, targeting the leader of the Gaza Brigade, Mahmoud Ibrahim Hassan Abu Hasira.

The Israeli army statement indicated that Abu Hasira is an elite member of the Hamas movement.
