Tel aviv: The Israeli Broadcasting Authority announced today that the Israeli army has destroyed thousands of tons of relief supplies, including large quantities of food, intended for the residents of Gaza, amid an unprecedented state of famine in the besieged Strip.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Israeli authority stated, citing military sources, that “the destroyed aid includes 1,000 truckloads of food and medical supplies, and that there are thousands of parcels lying in the sun. If they are not transported to Gaza, we will be forced to destroy them,” it claimed.

The destruction of these relief supplies comes at a critical time as Gaza is grappling with famine, affecting its population of approximately 2.3 million. The dire situation has raised concerns about the humanitarian impact on the residents of the Strip.
