Gaza City: The Israeli army announced this afternoon that it has commenced large-scale ground operations in areas both north and south of the Gaza Strip, under the new campaign named "Gideon's Armored Vehicles." This development occurs amidst ongoing ceasefire negotiations that have reached a critical juncture.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Israeli army revealed that it bombed 670 targets in the Gaza Strip over the past week in preparation for the ground offensive. This period has witnessed medical sources in the region documenting extensive casualties among Palestinian civilians due to the intense bombardment impacting residential areas, makeshift shelters, and medical facilities.

Palestinian media outlets have reported that Israeli tanks are advancing along two primary routes: towards the Jabalia camp in the northern part of Gaza, and towards the towns of Khuza'a and Al-Fakhari, east of Khan Yunis, in the south. These movements are accompanied by substantial artillery shelling and airstrikes.

Footage has surfaced showing Palestinian families evacuating the Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and Tel al-Zaatar refugee camps in northern Gaza as the intensity of Israeli shelling increases.

Israel's Channel 14 has indicated that five military divisions are on standby, awaiting orders to join the ground operation. This decision hinges on a meeting of the country's security and political cabinet and the outcomes of ongoing negotiations in Doha.

Additionally, Israeli Army Radio reported that while the operation has not yet reached "full force," the army is currently engaged in preparatory ground maneuvers. The full-scale initiation of the operation will depend on the progress of negotiations in the coming hours and days.

The Israeli cabinet is gearing up for a pivotal 24-hour period of indirect talks with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). Despite international pressure for both sides to reach a resolution, Hamas has declared the phase of partial agreements to be over.

Israel has recently ratified "Gideon's Wagons," a strategy aimed at occupying the entire Gaza Strip, marking a reversal of the ceasefire agreement signed last January and renewing its aggressive campaign.
