Baghdad: Israeli media reported on Saturday evening that the Israeli army has presented the political leadership with a plan in the event of a resumption of operations against Iran. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Israeli defense establishment is preparing for the possibility of a significant escalation in the region. Channel 13 cited an official who mentioned that the United States is preparing to expand its campaign against Iran by deploying approximately 100 refueling aircraft to the region.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (Kan) revealed that Israel has identified two scenarios that could prompt it to attack Iran. The first scenario involves an attack by Iran on Israel, while the second would be an official request from the United States for Israel to take action. This development follows the presentation of several new military plans to US President Donald Trump during a meeting in the White House Situation Room last Tuesday, as reported by media outlets.

Reports have confirmed that President Trump is considering a large-scale attack on Iran, which would be more extensive than the current strikes near the Strait of Hormuz. Although Trump has not yet made a final decision, he seems prepared to escalate the conflict to cause sufficient damage to force Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and comply with his demands concerning its nuclear program. Meanwhile, American and Israeli officials have conveyed to Western media that the US president may order an escalation of operations in the coming days.
