Israeli Forces Incursions and Explosions Reported in Damascus Countryside

Damascus:An Israeli force comprising several military vehicles made an incursion on Monday into agricultural lands in the western countryside of Damascus.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Syrian news agency SANA confirmed that the Israeli force entered a military site in the area, which formerly belonged to the Syrian regime, and blew it up.

Previously, on September 18, Israeli forces had targeted Bat al-Warda hill, near the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside, with several artillery shells.

SANA has reported that Israeli forces continue to carry out incursions into southern Syria, which include raiding homes, arresting civilians, bulldozing land, and conducting shelling operations.

Syria asserts that these actions violate the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement. It demands the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, declaring the measures taken as “null and void” and without legal effect under international law.

Furthermore, Damascus calls upon the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
