Beirut: The Israeli Broadcasting Authority confirmed last night that the Israeli military has ceased its airstrikes on Beirut for the past three days, adhering to instructions from political leaders. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the decision to halt military actions in Beirut was informed by "directives of the political level." This development follows a recent communication between US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Israeli media sources indicate that during this discussion, President Biden urged Prime Minister Netanyahu to limit military operations in the Lebanese capital. However, despite the cessation of airstrikes in Beirut, the Israeli military conducted an operation in southern Lebanon. On Saturday evening, Israeli warplanes targeted the center of the commercial market in Nabatieh, a major city in southern Lebanon known for its economic significance. This attack resulted in eight injuries, according to initial reports. The Israeli military has not disclo sed the specific objectives of the strike in Nabatieh.
