Rome: Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has openly condemned the ongoing Israeli military actions in the Gaza Strip, stating that the situation has reached unacceptable levels and must be brought to an immediate halt.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in his address to Parliament, Tajani criticized the Israeli government’s actions, describing them as horrific and absurd. He urged Israel to cease its operations and highlighted the necessity for the resumption of humanitarian aid and adherence to international humanitarian law.

Tajani further criticized the proposal by US President Donald Trump to impose US control over Gaza and force the relocation of Palestinians. He emphasized that expelling Palestinians from Gaza is not and will never be an acceptable solution. Tajani expressed full support for the Egyptian-led Arab initiative aimed at the recovery and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, which opposes any form of forced displacement.
